Let go and let Love

Posted on March 29, 2004 21:18 PM EST

I was thinking this morning...

Humans have made so much advancement over animals in fulfilling their basic needs of food, clothing, shelter. And for the sake of food, clothing, shelter and survival, they put rules around the most basic of all needs: Love.

They created rules that said whom to love, how to love, how much to love, how to show that love... so that there would be no conflicts and we would all live and survive.

This has led to a condition where there are wayyy too many of us who are not getting adequate love. Everyday we come across people who are malnourished or hungering for love.

Now that we have gone beyond the stage where survival is an issue... should we not throw out those rules and limitations?

Should we not just let go and let Love?

  1. your words 'let go and let love' just drew me to write up something on this elusive topic of Love. I am someone in late twenties who loved , lost and forced to let go of the only love of my life which happenned in mid twenties. Its very magical when love happens, but very sad when your love is lost and have to let go of it....especially if it was your soul that had a connection with that soul. There is a saying that 'dance like no one is watching you, love like you will never be hurt' . love has been more of a experiance of hurt, deep slashed wound in the soul(still they say you cannot cut or wet a soul). But the feeling that someone u respect , admire and connect also loves you , cares for you is something of a feeling so out of this world. its soo pure , divine and a soulfull experiance that sometimes it feels the pain, the hurt, the disgrace was worth it.
Apparently if you like/love someone soo deeply and that person acknowledges it , even says 'I like you just the way you are', then consider you are in heaven. but if that person is not committed or half hearted person, lookout for the hells door you will be pushed into.

Its difficult to let go , but life becomes lighter to carry on if let go of love which you dint get (even if it belonged to you).
